I am from Maple Heights, Ohio, and I have a Bachelor of Arts in history from Kent State University.

Here's my advice for prospective students: Focus on finding the school that is right for you. It is your education. Please don’t choose a school because your  group of friends are attending. Remember, what might be right for them might not be right for you.

• I was the only girl in the Maple Heights Little League in 1985 and my dad had to fight to get me on the league.

• My favorite on-campus food is Einstein Bagels.
