MAJ Lauren Meyer
Biography
MAJ Lauren Meyer enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard as a Motor Transport Operator. She graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science Criminal Justice in 2012 and upon graduation was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S Army Transportation Corps. MAJ Meyer’s military education includes the Basic Officer Leaders Course, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Logistics Captains Career Course, and she’s working to obtain her Intermediate Level Education.
Her previous assignments include Distribution Platoon Leader with E FSC, 237th; Transportation Platoon Leader, A CO, 237th, Operations Officers, A CO, 237th; Support Operations (SPO) Transportation Officer, HHC 237th; Battalion S4/CASE Project Officer, 112th Transportation Battalion; Battalion S3 Plans Officer, 237th; B, 237th BSB Field Maintenance Company Commander; Battalion S3, 237th BSB; and Battalion Executive Officer, 237th BSB. She served as the 237th BSB Training Officer from 2018-2020 and the 237th BSB Administrative Officer from 2020-2023 as Active Guard and Reserve orders. She is a part of the Ohio National Guard Biathlon team and the All-Guard Endurance team.
MAJ Meyer served on State Activity Duty for Operation Neptune, Operation Hurricane Maria and Operation COVID Steady Resolve. Her awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4th award), the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and Ohio National Guard Special Service Ribbon. MAJ Meyer is married to her husband Donald Meyer, and their children live in Stow, Ohio.
