New major helps area agencies meet community needs

Students and agencies throughout northeastern Ohio are the beneficiaries of Kent State University's College of Applied and Technical Studies' new Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program, currently offered in a hybrid model through the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas Campuses. 

Program director and lecturer Matt Butler, MSSA, LISW-S, LICDC-CS recently welcomed the Star Beacon into one of his classes in the Zoom Room for a first-hand look at the growing program and its potential to make a huge impact in our area.
