Kent State University at East Liverpool is offering a course this fall for anyone interested in becoming a personal trainer. The course teaches students about the body, fitness, exercise and nutrition, as well as preparing them for the exam to become a certified personal trainer.
This is a three-credit-hour course and has no prerequisites.

All students who complete the course are eligible to sit for the Personal Training Certification examination through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (). The cost of the exam is $299 and is not included in the course fees.
The class is limited to 16 students, so it is important to register early.
