An M.A. in Translation, or a Master of Arts in Translation, is a program of study designed to expose students to a wealth of translation theories and practices to help them prepare for future careers. Students in these programs learn from experienced faculty members, hone their abilities in classroom and extracurricular settings, and increase their knowledge and skills in the translation field.
M.A. in Translation programs also allow students to focus on a specific language concentration, letting them secure a Russian translation degree, for instance. The ability to choose a specific language focus in translation programs is greatly beneficial to students since it gives them instruction and training in the exact area they’re interested in, better preparing them for the future roles in the field they’re most drawn to.
