Meet Carrie Schweitzer, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at Kent State University, who since 2000 has been conducting research while teaching geology at Kent State University鈥檚 Stark Campus. Her expertise lies in evolution, decapods, crustacea, and invertebrate paleontology. Over the summer, the Center for Public Policy and Health hosted two students participating in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program. The SURE program pairs students with mentors on campus to conduct supervised research related to their field of study for an eight-week period.
