Are Kent State employees eligible for fall discounts at Cedar Point?

Kent State University employees can experience fun by day and fright by night at Cedar Point’s 20th anniversary HalloWeekends, held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 16 through Oct. 30.

The Great Pumpkin Fest will showcase craft zones, trick or treats, hay bale mazes, a parade and much more. After sundown, Cedar Point features six haunted houses, six scare zones and new skeleton key rooms.

Special fall menu items are available on the midways, not to mention lots of live, spooky entertainment. Ticket prices are $45 on Saturdays and $42 on Fridays and Sundays. For just $3 more, add unlimited fountain beverages.

Kent State University's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
