Dear Members of the Kent State University Community,
I want to thank all students, faculty and staff who participated in our Engagement and Well-Being Survey this past fall. Your thoughtful and honest responses are invaluable as we assess the current campus climate and identify opportunities to enhance the experience for everyone at Kent State.
As I shared when we launched this important initiative in September 2024, a welcoming and inclusive campus climate grounded in mutual respect is foundational to our educational model and Kent State’s core values. Creating and maintaining a community environment that respects individual needs, abilities and potential is critically important in advancing our university’s mission.
I am pleased to inform you that the analysis of the survey data is underway. Representatives from Rankin Climate will be on campus April 9 to present the results, and I encourage all members of our university community to attend this presentation either in person or virtually. Here are the event details:
Engagement and Well-Being Survey Results Presentation
3:30-4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 9
Kent Student Center Ballroom Balcony, 3rd floor of the Kent Student Center, Kent Campus
Those who are interested in attending virtually will be provided a link to join the presentation.
Following the presentation, our next step will be to create an action plan based on the survey results. As we move forward with this process, we will provide regular updates on the Engagement and Well-Being Survey website.
Thank you again for your contribution to this vital project. Together, we can build a thriving community where all students, faculty and staff feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
Sincerely,
Todd Diacon
President
