Chelsie Brush, a computer technology major at Kent State East Liverpool, was one of 12 female students from across the Kent State University campus system to be selected to the Women鈥檚 Center SAGE Project, class of 2018.

Kent State University at East Liverpool鈥檚 Wall of Fame committee announces that Kathrine Giffin is the recipient of this year鈥檚 Lifetime Achievement Award, James A. Locke III and Keith E. Locke are being honored with the Friends of Kent State University at East Liverpool Award.
Finally 鈥 after six full years of comprehensive, structured, enlightening and often rigorous educational experiences 鈥 16 area high school seniors participating in the Kent State University鈥檚 Rural Scholars Program are graduating.

Kent State University at Salem was well-represented earlier this month at the Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists annual education seminar by students who competed, as well as by faculty and staff members who participated and helped organize the event.

Kent State University at Salem again received the Tree Campus USA recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation, which recognizes its efforts to promote forest management, horticulture studies and conservation. The campus will celebrate this recognition during its Earth Day鈥
Like many, John Smith grew up in East Liverpool and stayed in East Liverpool. Unlike many, however, he used his memories of his childhood friends, families, neighborhoods and experiences to write a book that is getting rave reviews beyond the city.

Officials from Kent State University and New Castle Schools of Trades recently signed an articulation agreement that provides opportunities for graduates of the trade school to earn degrees from the university.

A series of paintings by local artist Peggy Albert Mangano will be featured in an exhibit at the Kent State East Liverpool Art Gallery, located in the Mary Patterson Building. Titled 鈥淔lowers by Peggy,鈥 the show opens with a reception on Thursday, April 12, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
