Clinical Experience Advisory Committee
The mission of the CEAC is to establish and review policies and procedures with regard to all field work (field experience - student teaching): including eligibility, placement, continuation, assessment, advising for student teaching, and licensure AND to review requests from teacher candidates for exceptions to student teaching policies and decide on approval or disapproval of requested exceptions.
Curriculum Committee
The Curriculum Committee approves changes to academic programs, policies, and courses within the College of Education, Health and Human Services. The committee is responsible for analyzing and facilitating undergraduate and graduate curricular matters to ensure quality program content. After Curriculum Committee approval, proposals are submitted for consideration and approval by the university Educational Policies Council (EPC).
Diversity Committee
The mission of the Diversity Committee advocates for the creation of social and political spaces; striving for justice and equity through critique; enhancing inclusivity by exploring and making explicit connections among community members, Kent State University, and the community-at-large on all dimensions of identity.
Councils
Graduate Program Coordinators
This body advises the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and Graduate Education on policies and procedures related to graduate education in the College. As such, the body is a forum for the discussion of ideas and a means of communication among the various programs.
Research Advisory Council
The purpose of the Council is to encourage research and scholarly activity as well as externally-funded activity with the College. The Council is advisory to the Research and Evaluation Bureau relative to opportunities of the Bureau and to the connections possible between Faculty, students and the Bureau.
Teacher Education Coordinators
Coordinators of teacher education program across the university meet monthly during the academic year to advise the Director of Teacher Education on policies, procedures, and curriculum in teacher education. They also create and review assessments to ensure that teacher candidates have the knowledge, skills, and disposition to work in schools.
Technology Advisory Council
This Council advises the Dean on all technology matters in the College. The Council meets, as needed, to develop technology plans, support research and implementation of technologies for teaching, learning and the management of information, review requests by Faculty, administrators, and staff concerning technology; to support external funding requests for technology applications consistent with the College mission; and to evaluate the status of technology implementation in the College.
Undergraduate Program Coordinators
EHHS Undergraduate Program Coordinators meet monthly during the academic year to discuss policies, procedures, and curriculum related to undergraduate programs in the College.
