Rebecca A. Meehan, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, is lead author of an article titled 鈥淚ncreasing EHR System Usability Through Standards: Conformance Criteria in the HL7 EHR-System Functional Model,鈥� published online in the Journal of Biomedical Informatics (Aug. 24, 2016).

Each year, Kent State University honors full-time, nontenure-track and part-time faculty members who are nominated by their students and peers for being among the most dedicated, highly effective and motivated professors at the university. The Outstanding Teaching Award is presented by the University Teaching Council. The three award recipients will be honored at the University Teaching Council鈥檚 Celebrating College Teaching conference luncheon and awards ceremony on Oct. 21.

At the Kent State University Board of Trustees meeting held on Sept. 30, 2016, the Board approved the planning and execution of a major comprehensive campaign. This campaign will be the largest in the history of Kent State, with its goals and priorities to be developed and pursued in collaboration with senior leadership, the university community and the Kent State University Foundation.
