The Wick Poetry Center is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the Library of Congress, which will feature the Traveling Stanzas exhibit at the 18th Library of Congress National Book Festival on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Washington Convention Center.
The Kent State University Faculty/Staff Bowling League is now accepting new teams, members and substitute bowlers. Bowlers compete weekly on Monday evenings at 6:20 p.m. at Spins Bowl Kent (formerly Bill White’s Twinstar Lanes) on State Route 59 in Kent.
The bowling league is open to all full-time, part-time and retired employees, as well as their families and friends.
The fourth annual Run the World 5K will take place at Kent State University on Saturday, Sept. 8. The race raises money for the Run the World Fund, which provides scholarships for university study abroad programs.
New this year following the race, Main Street Kent, is sponsoring an International Festival downtown.
