- You must be in good academic standing at Kent State University with a minimum GPA of 2.75 to apply to the University of Ghana.

University of Ghana, Ghana - ISEP
is located in Ghana’s capital city, Accra. Students will find a bustling city brimming with energy and creativity, including local markets, cuisine from around the globe, a quickly-evolving arts scene, historical sites, vibrant nightlife, and sunny beaches. From delicious street food, great beaches, and memorable historic sites, a summer, semester, or academic year in Ghana offers an experience like no other. Experience the vibrant flora and fauna of West Africa, a biodiverse region full of golden beaches, mountains, savannas, and tropical rainforests. Or vibe to the rhythm of Afrobeat music that abounds in Accra - walking down the street, it is common to hear a Djembe drum or see a reggae dance routine.
You will be in great hands while studying in Ghana with Theresa Kwakye, the on-site ISEP Resident Director who will support you throughout the program. ISEP students studying in Ghana thrive in fields such as African studies, business, geography and resource development, agriculture, social sciences and public health. Students are encouraged to deepen their experience by taking the 3-credit Twi language class as part of their program. Numerous facilitated volunteer opportunities are available to ISEP students during their time in Ghana. If you are interested in learning about complex issues facing developing nations while enjoying a rich cultural, historical and social experience, this program is for you!

This study abroad experience is run through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), a network of over 250 institutions in over 50 countries. Kent State University and ISEP have had a partnership for over 10 years. This partnership allows Kent State students to apply to any of their programs.
