First-Gen Week 2022

Kent State University will celebrate its first-generation students this week with a series of events and programs to spotlight and encourage current students who will be the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Kent State’s Center for Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services provided survivors of sexual or relationship violence the opportunity to heal by sharing their stories in a unique, visible way.

Theresa Walton-Fisette Faculty Athletic Representative

Theresa Walton-Fisette is Kent State's new faculty athletic representative. This position ensures the academic integrity of intercollegiate athletics, facilitates an inclusive environment and enhances the student athletic experience.

Some Kent State students who are first time voters expressed excitement as they hurried to class or the library on Oct. 31, 2022, a week before the midterm elections. Other students said they were voting, but they had not registered to vote before the deadline in Ohio which was Oct. 11, 2022, for the Nov. 8, election.
