Program Background
The Engineering Technology Department, which began in the 1970’s, is well established on the Tuscarawas Campus as well as in the industrial sectors of Tuscarawas County and the surrounding counties in East Central Ohio. The strength of engineering technology at Kent State Tuscarawas is that students learn in an applied format. They learn by doing and gain valuable experience that transfers to the workplace.
Our Engineering Technology degrees are all fully ABET accredited:
- Mechanical Engineering Technology (AAS) degree since 1974
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (AAS) degree since 1978
- BS Engineering Technology degree since October 2017
