FERPA RELEASE
The is a Federal Law that protects the privacy of student education records, both financial and academic. FERPA also gives the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) the right to review those records if the parent(s)/guardian(s) claim the student as a dependent on their Federal Income Tax Return. Students may also access the online FERPA Release Form by selecting Student / Resources / Requests and Authorizations from the main menu in FlashLine.

DISCLOSURE OF DIRECTORY INFORMATION
Students may restrict or cancel the restriction of their directory information by completing the online form accessible from the Make a Request box on the Student Tools and Courses page in FlashLine or by printing and completing the forms below. Information regarding Disclosure of Directory Information is available on the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center’s FERPA page.
DIRECTORY INFORMATION INCLUDES:
- the student's name
- local and permanent address
- telephone listing
- class standing
- enrollment status
- honors
- major field of study
- participation in officially recognized activities and sports
- weight and height of members of athletic teams
- dates of attendance
- degrees and awards received
- high school graduated from
- email address
- and most recent previous educational agency or institution attended by the student

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Authorize a KSU employee to access your education record for the purpose of constructing a recommendation. Students may also access the online Letter of Recommendation/Verbal Reference Release form through their Student Tools and Courses tab in Flashline.
