After two days of heavy rains and intense winds across Northeast Ohio, the skies cleared, creating perfect weather for this year鈥檚 Akron Pride Festival, which took place on Saturday, Aug. 26, in downtown Akron. 快猫短视频 35 Kent State University students, faculty, staff and alumni gathered to take part in the Akron Equity March, which kicked off this year鈥檚 events.

Once again, Kent State University has been named one of the Best Employers for Women in a nationwide ranking by Forbes and marketing research firm Statista. Kent State has been named to the list for the sixth consecutive year, having been included each year since Forbes began publishing the Best Employers for Women list in 2018.

New research methods and topics have emerged as society has taken a greater interest in mental health issues specifically when it comes to cognitive psychology, which includes how we process music or how motivation fosters in the brain.

U.S. Supreme Court

On Thursday, June 29, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 6-3 ruling, struck down the long-standing policy of affirmative action in college admissions on the grounds it violates the 14th Amendment鈥檚 Equal Protection Clause. Kent State University Professor Christopher Banks, Ph.D., J.D., said the high court already had tipped its hand that the court was 鈥減ositioned to jettison鈥 the policy, so the ruling was not surprising.
